Biblical Symbolism In Pan's Labyrynth?!

Question:

Biblical Symbolism In Pan's Labyrynth?

Ok in Pan's which is an amazing movie. I was wondering peoples opinions on Biblical Symbolism I thought there was some in the part that her ultimate downfall was when she ate the fruit and that she could only save herself through sacrifice. I was wondering if anyone agreed with that and saw anymore symbolism in the movie

Answers:

I can see that. There was definitely a recurring theme of temptation and faith, sacrifice and suffering, injustice and exodus, love and death, all the old standards. But, honestly, there are only so many archetypes to pull from, and the Bible's got 'em all. I think the reason that Pan's Labyrinth was so good was because the biblical and mythological parallels were deliberate.
