OK, so I've done research on this, trying to figure out if ti is true or not, and I find wikipedia very confusing. so there is no real guy that did that right? just ed gein, this movie as based on what he did?

No it did not actually happen. It is based on Ed Gein. There is movie out about Ed Gein, he would kill women and butcher them and wear there skin, and stuff. It was very sick!! But the theory behind the chainsaw massacre is remotely close to that of Ed Gein...but his family was dead, and he lived alone. He did live in an old farm house, but did chase them with chain saws
