For all the Star Wars geeks out there like me, how could anakin have brought "balance" to the force?

Here's my thought. The prophecy stated that anakin would bring balance to the force. Luke and Yoda on the good side and Vader(anakin) and the emporer on the dark side, right? So anakin kills the emporer, sacrificing himself and dies. No more dark side leaving just the good side. Where is the balance? To have balance, you have to have equal amounts on both sides right? Someone please help me here. Am I right or wrong?

In order to bring balance to the force Anakin could not have been on the dark side of the force solely because that would have put the dark side on the stronger side since Anakin was supposed to be one of the most powerful Jedi ever. In order to bring balance Anakin would have had to been able to use both the good and dark sides together and had them live in harmony. Not an easy task. Cause lurking out there somewhere are the Siths who have learned to live on the dark side without using its power fully and staying in the shadows
