I have been asking myself this question about remakes for years. With all the wonderful novels out there why are'nt they making movies out of them. It's not like the hollywood writers have to do a lot of work they just have to read the books. Hopefully someone will get the idea soon that we are sick of the same movies done over and over again. Look at the Harry Potter series, although the movies are falling short of the mark, at least it's something new. And they all came from books.
