What is the movie with this song in it?

I think it's a Glenn Fry song about the "Mother Load" a ship comming in. The movie was a drug lord from miami that constantly played the song. He was being set up and the actor played the man who set him up told his partners not to shoot unless needed. One of the cartel men made a move which was mistaken for a "move" which caused a shoot out in front of windows overlooking the ocean as the song played for the last time. Would like to know the song, actor and name of movie, believed to be an early 80's movie. Please help...driving me crazy!!!!

thanks peggy it is smugglers blues. It was a great movie if I could remember name of.. or actor..would like to get movie to watch again. Can't remember much of the 80's lol

what movie from the 80's had the song Smugglers blues...Glen Frey...in it? It was an action,adult content,drugs{cocaine}...I remember the song was played by a big drug dealer in his condo apt looking over the ocean in Miami. He blared the song every scene. There was some sort of sabatoge going down. One of the guys {I thought John Travolta}?? had his guys w/him and told them not to shoot unless the $#%$ hit the fan. One of the men from the music guys side} made a move but not for his gun....and the other guy pulled out his gun and the shooting started. Not sure if it was a bad deal..robery thing or a drug bust. Everyone got shot up and the song kept playing. Good movie..want a friend to see it but can't remember the movie..Hopefully someone can figure this out!!!! Thanks

Is the song "Smuggler's Blues"?

Don't see anything in there about a "mother load", but it is about smuggling dope.

I don't have any idea about the movie, though.
