I was watching borat for the hundredth time, I have a question about the country it was made about?

Is kazakhstan a real place? I tried yahooing it up but found that it is a country, but can not find any history of it..is it really like the movie BORAT? What do they think of the movie itself?

Also how do the jews fill about this movie? and you know how there are different parts...do those people erally know about this movie.like when he was in NYC going around greeting people..were them people "props" or just filmed walking as people!

It is real, used to be part of the Soviet Union. Sasha Baron Cohen/Borat had never been there, just made up the character. I understand that the Kazak government is teed off about the way they portray it in the movie. Can you blame them.
