If any technique that "takes you out of the movie" is bad, why do hollywood producers employ MTV style editors
Mtv style editing is fine for vacuous things like pop videos, but surely it has a very small place in films for grown-ups....
or do these people see their market as ...thick as illiterate dumb-fcuk teenagers?
Answers:
Yes, the worst of pop culture (read: MTV, FOX) aim their programs at the lowest common denominators; teens and poor people. To them, these are the lowest commoners because they have the shortest attention span, the greatest need to conform and pursue trends, and the most disposable income and will to waste it.
But really, considering the popularity of some of the mountain of crap released each year, how wrong can they be?
