Who else HATES remakes?

I can't stand them. i think it's okay to remake a movie that wasn't that popular, but The Hitcher, there was no need to remake that. Also I think they are talking about remaking Dirty Dancing with Mario Lopez. Plus MOST actors don't really have talen now, i mean if you really watch them they don't. For instance Miley Cyrus and Emma Roberts...come on people. hollywood just is not the same anymore.

I didn't mean ALL actors now are bad. Some are VERY good, but most are over ratted.

I think that it is sad when they have to do remakes to fulfill their film quotas. There are so great scripts that are not being made because they are doing films that have already been done. They can't replace the original ones with a new one. They are not lightbulbs. Willy Wonka is a good example. Depp may have played a character in a chocolate factory, but Gene Wilder is Willy Wonka. Hollywood stop putting writers out of work. The best movies are the original ones. Name a great remake. Titanic don't count because it is not a remake. It is a different view of a tragic incident. The new King Kong does not compare to the original.
