Can anyone tell me what the movie ''Exorcist''......?

Can anyone tell me what the movie Exorcist is about and pictures? I've never seen it so was just wondering why people say its so scary??

First of all if you want to see pictures, I would check out IMDB.com. They have tons of pictures of the actors and shots from the movie. While this movie may not be scary to you or to many people today, it was considered very scary when it was made(it was made in 1973).

The basic plot story is that is about a young girl named Regan. She begins to experience odd occurences such as her bed shaking and levitating, urinating on the floor in front of her mothers guests, and a very cold room. Her mother believes she is mentally ill, and they see many doctors although none can diagnosis her daughters odd behavior. As the movie progresses, Regan becomes worse and does thing such as the spider walk and progectile vomiting. It is ultimately up to two priests to save Regan, and that is done through an exorcism hence the title The Exorcist.
