That's the million dollar question isint it? For a while there was a plan, there was even voting on the funimation website as to who should play Goku, but production never began and I found this article on the web about a conversation with Fox Studios: NO LIFE IN THE "DRAGONBALL" LIVE ACTION MOVIE? by Otherworld Steve

I literally JUST got off the phone with FOX Studios in Los Angeles , CA . I asked outright about the upcoming live action Dragon Ball /Z movie.

This is exactly what I was told by my contact:

"The Dragon Ball Z movie? We don't have that. I 've got a lot of calls about that so I called around [the studio]. We won't be making that [movie]."


As for who should play in the movie I would like to see Tony Jaa play Goku (after all Goku looks young and Tony Jaa has all the right moves),Vegeta could be played by either Robin Shou or Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, Master Roshi could be played by the guy from Karate Kid or Jackie Chan (aged), Gohan should be a younger up and coming martial artist, ChiChi should be played by Talisa Soto, and Bulma could be any younger Amercan hip actress of today.
