umm arrest, prosecution, confiscation of all releated stuff, viruses, fines, legal fees, restitution,fraud, id theft , phishing scams... your pc gets destroyed from worms, trojans etc... to name a few.. theft is theft no? Sure in the short term you may get away with it, but somewhere down the road, that which we do wrong comes to byte us in the... eventually!
* Of course the rest fo the software theives wanting security in numbers( lowers their personal arrest/ conviction possibility) will tell you oh its legal/ safe etc.... ask them are they willing to pick up your costs for hdd replacement? lawyer fees etc? umm probaby not huh... A guy in my area just got caught this yr for his part in over the net theivery of proprietary software. he got 18 months in state prison and $18,000 cash fine , adn he will not be allowed near any electrical transmitting /recieving device Incl computers,cell phone, pager home phone etc for 10 years* Good thing it was only his 1st offense huh!@
