Which version? Theatrical or unrated??!

Question:

Which version? Theatrical or unrated??

When you rent a movie, which version should you watch? The theatrical or the unrated one? Which one is better??

Answers:

There is one thing to consider with 'unrated' movies that most people don't actually realize, and that is, that no sooner has the studio added 1 second of footage to the movie in question, it is no longer regarded as being the same movie it was on theatrical release.
And the studios realized that by not re-submitting it for a rating (they don't have to with VHS/DVD), they can market the movie as 'unrated', thereby giving the appearance of (in particular horror or sex-filled movies) being something a little 'naughty'.
So just remember that the next time you watch a horror movie, that is unrated. Chances are you won't see anything in it, that couldn't have been shown in the movie theater, with it's original rating.

That being said, it is usually better to watch a director's cut, regardless of whether it has a rating or not.
