THE EXORCIST 1973 or 2001?

I heard it's a really scary and some people say its the scariest mvie they have ever seen! But the thing im wondering is will it scare me if i watch it now i mean its pretty old... and will i even get scared since its going to have the oldin day tech. And if it will scare me should i watch the 1973 one or the 2001 one??? Please tell me what you think and tell me what one's scarier or are they the same and if its up to todays standard.

I know its a remake but what im wondering is ] the 2001 scarier becasue of better graphics and better sound? All i wanna know is which one to watch

Watch the 1973 original, but be sure you're watching the one they call The Version You've Never Seen. Of course, you've never seen any of them, but you get the point. Here's a link to the DVD on Amazon.

As far as the EXORCIST: THE BEGINNING / EXORCIST: DOMINION go, I'd suggest you skip them. They're both basically the same movie, but they were done by two different directors. Both are huge messes that aren't anywhere near up to par with THE EXORCIST.

Really... truly... don't waste your time or money on them.

If you do insist on watching one of the two, then go with DOMINION - PREQUEL TO THE EXORCIST. At least it manages to keep the story somewhat interesting:

If you like 1973's THE EXORCIST, then seek out THE EXORCIST III.

After the original, the third installment is by far not only the best of the bunch, but one of the best horror movies of its time.
