Is the Transformers movie suitable for children?!

Is the Transformers movie suitable for children?

its a 12A here in UK, and my kids are aged 8 and 6. Or should i take them to see Hairspray which is on a PG?

i think so.....my son is near 6 and is soo xcited about seeing the film so i am taking him this friday. u expect to see a small degree of violence and whatever else the rating goes by but if u have sensible children like i have then concerntrate more on wether your child will enjoy watching the film. if you know they will love it, i'd treat them to a gd old nite at the cinema!

ooohhh i 4got to add....ive seen hairspray an although the film is pg it is very adult orientated! the songs an that i mean an they might not understand the adult themed jokes that keep popping up! good movie but i bet they would enjoy the action transformers more than the musical hairspray!
