Why should I stop reading FHM?!
Question: Why should I stop reading FHM!?
My girlfriend wants me to stop reading FHM because, as everyone knows, it has pictures of semi-naked women in it!.
My (100% truthful) arguments have always been:
I don't buy it to look at those pictures!. I buy it for the articles and fashion pages, because FHM has so much to offer besides women's flesh!.
Why would I want to look at semi-naked women when I've got a stunning girlfriend!?
Why buy a magazine to oogle at the women when I could get better pictures online for free!?
I wouldn't be knarked off if you were reading magazines with semi-naked men in them!.
I've thought these were good arguments but she's still being persistent!. Am I really doing anything wrong with reading FHM!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

No, she's being pretty unreasonable, but it's probably just because she's paranoid about herself compared to the women in FHM!. You and I both know that's not really why (or at least not the main reason) we read those mags, but girls are paranoid like that!.

I've been reading FHM for years and think the articles are fantastic; interesting and funny in equal measures, but the pictures of women can be fairly stupid and the quotes that go with the "interviews" of women celebs are quite far fetched eg: "I love having strap on sex with another girl while my boyfriend and his mates look on"!(not a real quote)

Try looking at the pictures of the women from a woman's view!. They have no blemishes, no loose skin, no stretch marks, no cellulite, blah blah blah!.
A lot of girls feel almost threatened by these images, we know they're photoshopped and they are not actually real women as they are edited that much, but some women always have and probably always will compare themselves to these pictures of women in magasines, whether they're clothed or not!.
My fiance buys 'Zoo' (I think) a few times a year and it doesn't bother me, mainly because I know to what extent the images are edited and also because the magasines aren't just based on semi-naked women!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

well it is a two edged sword!. the particular magazine has in fact a rather camp following so to be seen reading it in some areas may not be a good idea if you want to be seen as 'macho', here you need to read ones like top gear or playboy!.

i think the majority of mens magazines can be a bit pathetic and wrong in the way they address the issue of women!. the way they portray women is totally outdated and offensive!.

i tried to stop my boyfriends reading those sort of magazines!.!. its mainly because we feel that your lookin at other girls and we get jelous like were not good enough!.
for the record my attempt didnt succeed and he still reads them!.!.!. his excuse was the same as urs!.!. but as long as he doesnt read them why with me i dont care!.

Although your arguements are fine it is probably that your girl friend doesn't quite trust you!.

My ex boyfriend use to read them kind of magazines, personally it never bothered me in the slightest because once you have seen one of them glamour models you have seen them all!. Unlike catwalk models, glamour models are two to a penny!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
