Question: Fashion writing - how can i become a fashion writer for a magazine!?
Hi there,
Well im 14 and i'm starting to think about what i want to be when i leave school!. To me this sounds daunting , but ive been having a few idea's!. I'm thinking about becoming a writer, like for a fashion magazine or something!.
I know this sounds quite vague and indeed it is, basically i'm quite good at english and i enjoy writing, i also love fashion magazines, and beauty and all things girly :P
Please can you get back to me, saying what kind of jobs fashion magazines offer to writers!. What these jobs include, how i can get into it and what its like!.

Well I am intending on doing the same kinda thing (not so much focused on fashion though) and when I left school I did A levels in Media Studies, English Literature and Social Studies!. Now I am at uni doing a degree in media studies and majoring in journalism!.
I have also carried out placements with Sugar magazine, More magazine and Vogue magazine!. Getting placements (work experience) is very useful in getting your name out there and ensuring people within the industry know you exist!.
Do you have 2 weeks set of work experience in year10!? If you do I suggest you write/email/call various magazines of your choice and try to secure some work experience!. Most of their contact details are available in the first few pages of the magazine or on their web page!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
