How do I go about becoming a model?!

Question: How do I go about becoming a model!?
I'm 16 years old and I've always loved the idea of modeling!.
I've tried searching around the internet about how to go about starting or joining a few model sites online!.
I'm not the pretty perfect barbie doll type, I wear black and I love metal/rock, and all the places I've looked at all their main models are the barbie doll type, so I didn't join!.
Anyway, besides all that, my question is,
where do I start!? without paying crazy money!?

PS!. I want to be a model in magazines and things like that, not a catwalk/runway model!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Have a face shot and a couple of body shots taken of you and then set up an appointment at a reputable local modeling agency!. Its starting out small and the work may not be steady, but it would be a good way to see if modeling is what you really want, help build up your modeling resume, and a way to get your foot in the door at least!. Very few models climb to the top overnight!. Practice poses and expressions in the mirror!. It may take a couple years to get your shot at even a small pic in a magazine but if you want it bad enough, I think you'll achieve it!. Oh, and make sure you dont pay any money up front!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

If the agency likes you, they pay for all of the costs!. Say if they book you for a photoshoot in CA or NY, they pay for it!. Don't get fooled by scammers who say you pay for it!. If they TRULY like you and your look, they pay for everything!. Www@Enter-QA@Com

You may like the idea of modeling, but are you honestly attractive enough!? Nearly everyone isn't!. You should maybe give up on the idea, it probably isn't very realistic!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

you should call the magazine company and ask forthe boss or whatever and ask if they need a model for there magazine!. and if they do then send them some pics of you or something!.
thats what i would do!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Go get some nice pictures taken and buy no one else any money because they are usually a scam, pay just for the pictures!. Then send them out to agencies and hope!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

just be careful!. Research anyone you're considering!. Don't sign any release of photos without looking into the business!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Well, first let me say that it's extremely difficult at your age to get into magazines directly, because you have to have your parents' backing and they would have to be absolutely fanatical about making you a model, to the point of concentrating on nothing else!. Magazines get their models mostly from agencies and internal contacts, and unfortunately all those sites you found were spot on!.!.!.when they look for teen girls, they generally want the barbie-doll types with big teeth and big smiles and proportional curves!. also, it's not as easy as it looks!. You are quite often required to hold poses for long periods, in uncomfortably heavy clothes that don't feel as glamorous as they look!.

If you think you'll still be interested two years from now when you start college, the best you can probably do at this point is to spend the next two years of your life preparing for possible opportunities!. By that I mean to keep healthy, eat right, and get plenty of exercise!. And do as much theater as you can!.!.!.try out for shows and be an actress!.!.!.it will get you used to being in front of an audience!. And if you don't get into shows, work the crews and make friends with the directors!.!.!.they often have connections they can tell you about!.

You might also check out your local community to see if art classes are run and volunteer for minimal pay to be a model for the class!. Or if you have any artistic friends, offer to have them draw you!. And get some "glamour photos" of yourself taken, because you will need some kind of portfolio to present yourself!.

Once you turn 18 and go to college, you should immediately inquire at their art department about modeling!.!.!.and be prepared that you will likely be asked to pose nude!. If you can't be comfortable with that, your chances of getting other connections would be very slim!. And even if you choose not to make it your major, take some classes that will help you learn about the industry!.!.!.theater, fashion, costuming, design, photography!. The more you know how it works on the inside, the better your chances!.

It IS hard work and a pain!.!.!.but if you really love it and are determined enough, you will get your break!. Good luck!Www@Enter-QA@Com
