If the new one is now on the shelves, the last issue will have been returned!.
You can always ask the shopkeeper if they still have it!.
I know you used to be able to order back issues from the magazine itself, is that still possible!? Haven't bought it in ages, just watch it on TV now instead!.

some shops do keep them but they are supposed to send them back to comag or whoever it was that supplied them as most shops operate on a no sale-return basis meaning they won't be charged for certain unsold magazines!. however smaller newsagents tend not to do that so you could try your luck there!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
