Question: I will rate best answer! does anyone know how to get signed with a record lable,for one of my friends bands

its really hard to do this on your own!.
an agent is always a good way to go!. just make sure theyre credible and dont want a ton of money up front because theyre probably scamming you!.
--contests are good idea too!. any kind of radio contest or even karaoke contests held at bars by radio stations are good!. sometimes they have levels of prizes!. like, if you win the first night, you get 100 bucks but are then admitted into a second round and the prize for that one might be singing on stage with an artist who's concert is the next night, that type of thing!. it gets you heard anyway!. i know a country singer who did that!. she won a karaoke contest and got to sing with shania twain at the merrit mountain music festival and some guy heard her and gave her free recording time, etc etc and she ended up on the radio!.
--another way is to pay for some recording time and make a few CDs out of pocket themselves then try to get play time at a local pub or bar on slow nights!. if theyre really that good, theyll sell a few and get hired for busier nights and by better locals and soon word of mouth will give them enough credit to find a reputable agent who can take them the rest of the way!.
--really, its hard work!. theres no easy way unless they just get lucky, which you obviously cant bank on!. they could always record a few demos and send them out to record labels, but mostly what happens with those are they're just returned to sender or thrown out!.
--if they know any semi-famous or famous artists they could see if theyd be willing to listen to a demo and maybe help out!. or stand outside a concert for autographs and try passing a demo that way!. but its highly unlikely that would be a good avenue!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
