Why do newspapers stretch stories out over multiple pages?!

Question: Why do newspapers stretch stories out over multiple pages!?
Magazines do this, too!. You start to read a story, and then it stops halfway through and says, "Please see Title, page A4!." If you're lucky, sometimes, it will force you to skip ahead once more!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

They want to try to get all the "Top" stories as close to the front pages as possible!.!. so they break them up in order to get as much Top Headlines in the front as they can!. also, by having you go to other parts of the paper to continue reading, You might also stop to read other articles while you're there!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I am surprised they don't do it with the comics too!. I guess they want you to search about and their hope is other stories and ADVERTISING will catch your eye!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
