What could a library do for teen summer programs?!

Question: A library could have reading lists distibuted to teens, with a giftcard for a bookstore to the teen who reads the highest number of substancial books. A scavenger hunt could be held; a quote from a famous piece of literature would have to be identified in order to find the location of the next quote, and so forth. Reading discussions could be held; movies based on the novels discussed could be watched. Teens could create bookmarks and new book covers for already published novels. I hope this helps:)

Like always, have a teen summer reading program.

If you want summer programs then go to your city for programs.

Our society right now encourages teens to look up to the wrong types of people, maybe have a program that every week you feature a different American "Hero" or healthy role model. Give kids someone to look up to other than unstable celebrities

in my library we have many programs like: watching a movie with popcorn and soda, have a bingo book thing where if you win, you win a book. having a guitar hero or dance dance revolution contest, several crafts. teaching self defense, thers an anime club and in the summer and step club
