I used to work there and I love this cover.
This was taken the day Lennon was murdered. The picture was his idea. John and Jann (the founder of Rolling Stone)were best friends. When he died this was the last picture he took (professionally) and the last interview he did. There are no words because Jann thought the picture spoke for itself. He was paying respect for his best friend.
