What do any of you think about the April issue cover of "Vogue" with L!

Question: I had a friend e-mail me an article about Lebron James posing with some Brazilian model up there. I read more into the article and it's awhole lot of controversy about that pic. Saying the magazine is depicting an image that's similar to King Kong or it's feeding into stereotypes about black males having criminal mannerisms and etc., etc. Me personally, I blame the photographer for that sh it. Just because the picture doesn't go together. The model is in some dressy skirt staring into space while Lebron has his game face on like he about to slam on somebody. Truthfully, I don't care about the Vogue cover but since the media is making a big deal about it, I figure I'd see how everyone else feels.

i dont want to offend anyone but this is so pointless. I just CAN'T believe how sensitive people can be about this non sense. First of all, Giselle is brazilian! so is not white per se. She looks white , she is of european descent but she is mixed, she is from Brazil in South America,.... so if you want to create controversy why dont we start a group of women saying that is racist because they show a latin woman in the arms of a man like she is powerless? c'mon!
or why dont they take a pic of another latin woman that looks more latin!?!

yes he looks aggressive but from what i heard they wanted to take THE SAME LOOK he has when he scores! and if that is how he looks when he makes those awesome shots then GREAT!

I am not white, i am a minority , immigrant and I am a woman, I should be aware of discrimination and all this just sounds silly to me!

We have to get over these petty issues and celebrate our heritage whether asian, latin, white or black, or native american! celebrate our strenghts not get back at every single freaking thing.

I personally don't see anything wrong with it. It is being taken out of proportion if you ask me. It seems everything these days is about racism, and if anyone can swing it that way, they will.

I think you need to remember the real TRUTH from Lebrons mouth and quit blaming the media for simply COVERING what Lebron did for His own self.

Let us go back to 2003 shall we?

"I don’t need too much. Glamour and all that stuff don’t excite me. I am just glad I have the game of basketball in my life."

LEBRON JAMES, interview, Jun. 14, 2003

C'mon now.. can i get a witness?

i think its retarded!! it's obvious that he his supposed to be a big strong athlete and she she supposed to be a pretty dainty supermodel. I don't think anything is wrong with the picture. She didn't even look like she was in distress...she was SMILING. He doesn;t even look like a criminal. I just think it is ridiculous how they are comparing him to king kong and making the pic seem racist.

People can exaggerate things.
Hes supposed to look strong-
I didn't see the "king kong" image people are pointing out.
Pshh.
People will always blow things up.
I doubt Lebron would sign up for anything he thought was demeaning.
But hey, an opinion is an opinion.

People are C R A Z Y!!!!

Plain and simple. I didn't see king kong, monkey, violent black man.

I saw pumped up ball player with hot model on his arm.

It looks like the Lebron us basketball fans know and love. A warrior on and off the court. No matter what you do there are always going to be people who will criticize it. If Lebron would have been wearing a suit I'm sure someone would have screamed "They are trying to hide who Lebron is and make him conform." There are bigger concerns than a Vogue cover that Lebron himself liked.

I think it is a disgrace to white people stating that black people are more dominate. And I see the picture as a King Kong type of claim. I'm thinking about sueing Vogue.
