Something to do with the show MADtv late at night.
Mostly political and social satire presented in illustrations and cartoons.
Its like a big magazine with a whole bunch of like litle cmics in it and jokes. some times itll have politic jokes in it

its an old sarcastic mag with pop culture and poilitical views aimed at maybe 13-25 year olds

Mad Magazine is a comical and satirical look at life through different cartoons and parities. They did do some political stuff from time to time, but mostly as politics relate to the human condition. My favorite was "SPY vs. SPY".
Lots of cultural references and parodies, with some comics and funny fake ads tossed in. It's basically a mish-mash of humorous elements.
It pokes fun at society, politics, trends, pop culture, and popular thinking.
I haven't read any recent issues, but it used to be slightly darker, more sophisticated humor than regular comics.
They take a popular t.v. show, movie, or pop culture item and do a parody of it in a comic-strip fashion, and will put a picture of the main characters on the cover.
