Cosmo girl or seventeen better for 14 year old?!
Question: hey everyone, i was thinking about getting a magazine subscription. my two choices are cosmo girl and seventeen.
1) which one do you think is better? & why?
*i would like the magazine to have cute fashion tips, diet and exercise tips, stuff about boys, dating, but not sex. cause i am only 14.
*celebrity gossip is okay, but i dont want my whole magazine about it. so very little celebrity gossip
*i dont want my magazine to be "too little girlish" or "too old" for me. (not trying to be rude)
-i am going to have this magazine for a year so i want it to be good lol ;)
2) oh also, have any of you guys had either of these magazines? which one did you like better?

I think Cosmo Girl is the best choice for you. It has lots of fashion and makeup tips, advice for handling boys (without a lot of sex stuff), and some celeb gossip. ;-)
17 is probably more for someone 16-18-ish. There is quite a bit of sex talk, and might be a little "too old" for you at the moment.
My sister brings home both of these magazines, and I'd say Cosmo Girl is the more appropriate for you, based on what you're looking for in a magazine. =)

Get 17 magazine, it's more for your age group.
Cosmo has a lot about sex in it.
Personally I like seventeen magazine but for a magazine that fits your description I would take CosmoGirl.

I'm 14. I read Seventeen. Not so sure about Cosmo Girl, haven't really gotten into it. Seventeen does have some few articles about sex in them, but I don't mind. Normally it's just about awareness of STDs and such. But I personally think Seventeen fits that description and that you'll like it:]

I would go with 17. I've gotton Cosmo Girl before (I'm your age) and it was basically all sex, at least, that was my impression.
ok im 14 too and i buy both. i like seventeen better. i think its more informative... i guess. they have good human interest stories. makeup tips. some celeb stuff but not much at all. they do have sex questions but your 14. grow up. its gonna happen sumday. you should know how to handle things. you cant ignore it 4ever. it doesnt talk about college that much. but occationally.
its only a magazine. not really a huge life decision...
i prefer seventeen better, probably because i'm 18 and it's closer to my age range...
i still receive both magazines
seventeen does usually have college and more mature things in it, but only because they're getting ready to get out in the working world
i suggest you get cosmo!girl, they always have fashion advice, cute pictures, cute clothes that are affordable-and they tell you where you can buy them!

If you like teen fashion I would personally say Teen Vogue (which is almost all about fashion)...but since that wasn't one of the options...this is kinda hard...i like both of them...and teen vogue...ummm...seventeen and cosmo girl talk a lot about college, but thats more 4 seventeen...I would say 4 you...being only 14...that you should go with cosmo girl...then maybe next year go with seventeen (if that is even an option)...GOOD LUCK!!!
Well, I'm also 14 and I have a subscription to Seventeen, and I personally love it. Cosmo Girl and Seventeen are very very very similar because they are from the same company. It's kinda like Abercrombie and Hollister, they are like the same thing. From my experience, Seventeen has some really good stuff. It does have some articles on pregnancy and sex, but not much.
Either one would work I think.
personally, being fourteen and all, seventeen is the best. the only thing cosmo ever really talks about is sexual things and dating. not to interesting. i have a subscription to seventeen and i love it. i had a subscripton to cosmo in the past but i got tired of just reading about sexual stuff and things that weren't of importance to me. its more of a magazine for someone between the ages of 20-40 if you ask me. seventeen has all the info you want in a magazine and is rather interesting with the occasional life changing and impossible-to-forget story. seventeen will be perfect for you i'm sure.

Cosmo Girl.
If you are looking for more of a mature but still young magazine it would tell you to get Cosmo Girl. They are all about fashion, boys, diet and exercise tips. I also think that it is more for a broad range of age groups not just "Seventeen"
I'm 14 and I get both magazines but i personally like Seventeen better.
I think Seventeen has a little more sex stuff but not to much and it has a few, every once in a while college articles.
CosmoGirl seems better for you though. They are both pretty much the same.

well i hate to say it but those magazines are geared towards sex and stuff. not really godly stuff. most of it indirectly or directly promotes it. i'd stick with the bible. lol
i have both. theres this $14 or something deal for both 10 issues of 17 and cosmogirl. they're so similar since they have the same publisher and they both have stuff about sex and stuff. but i would say cosmogirl. they both have stuff about colleges but cosmogirl have this new section called just so you know and usually theres a story about a kind of job or something. its called project<insert number> or something like that.

2.i have read both..cosmo is way more written for a sexually active woman
3. seventeen has sex in it too..not much..n all u gotta do is turn the page
4. both are kinda old for u but seventeen is closer to ur age...for u i wud suggest teen vogue or teen people if they were choices
I tink that both magazines may be a bit too old for you but, 17 more than cosmo girl. Cosmo girl will have more about fashion in.
I'm turning fourteen in a few days, and i've been subscribed to both for 2 years. They are actually under Hearst, which owns both magazines. Pretty mucha partnership. If you like more fashion and makeup, try Cosmo, if you like in-depth stories help, etc... (sex) try Seventeen. I love them both
age is nothing. Seventeen is best! I been reading it 11, it gave me life tips & fashion sense.
I had both of them. I liked them both but I think that you would want CosmoGirl. Seventeen does talk about a lot of older things (including college and sometimes sex). Cosmo has a lot of tips for diet&exercise and how to act around guys.
