No, i hate playboys.
I remember finding my dad's Playboy stash in the basement when I was a teenager. The magazines dated from the late Sixties and early Seventies.
My first impression? "Gee, these pictures are much more tame than anything on the Internet. And -- wow! -- these articles are really well-written."
I mean, you had political commentary by Ralph Nader and short stories by Isaac Asimov. Really top-shelf content! I would say that this, more than the softcore photo spreads and mildly raunchy cartoons, defines Playboy. (or at least it did -- I'm not familiar with their more recent issues)
I don't regularly read Playboy, but I agree that there's a lot to love about it! I just prefer my top-shelf writing to be accompanied by pictures of cute guys (i.e., Details).
