Is "Indie Slate" magazine any good?!
Question: I'm thinking about getting someone (a freelance videographer/editor) a subscription to "Indie Slate" but I don't know anything about it and amazon.com doesn't have any reviews. I've tried Googling it, but haven't really come up with much. Does anyone know anything about it?

I have a subscription and have found it to be useful. The "Reel Indies" section contains several stories every month from true independent filmmakers who have made features, and these stories have a lot of useful tips (from technology to production tips to distribution possibilities) that indie filmmakers might find valuable.
OTOH, it's also about 1/3 advertisement/production listings. Just FYI. The content in the mag is good, though.
