Question: This country is over sensitive on issues of race. I also think it is a one way street. We see completely adverse reactions by the public depending on the color of the person making the original remark. I'm white and I'm not a racist but because I just made these remarks, someone out there will think I've crossed the line. If we cannot talk about sensitive things openly in a free society then we are not free.
The noose on the cover was just one mans opinion and no one was hurt. It just us made think a little harder and the result was the editor gets fired. How was that a good outcome? Do you think he intended to lose his job? Our so called free society just plays into the hands of the Al Sharptons of the world.
