First of all, it's WRITE. People won't understand you if you choose the wrong spelling.
When I wrote for the school magazine I used to pick current events in the news and interview teachers & students, and get one-liners from them. Or I would follow a sports team and report on how grueling their practice is.
You could also find something about your school that is old, and get the history of it. That would make an interesting article.

at first, think of anything u r interested in...... it can be sports, cell phones, music, cars, computers, travelling or movies........ anything u like..........
then connect that with students (better if u can connect that with the trend of ur school)........ for example, if u like cell phones, u can write about the cell ph trends in ur school........ or if u like music, write something about what type of music is popular in there or what artist.... n what do u think is the reason etc......
