Sometimes looks aren't everything when pursuing modeling. You must carry yourself with confidence and it must show in your appearance. You also have to be able to display respect, manners, and intelligence (yes, it matters) when meeting agents or people in the business. You should know how to lose your ego and obey orders, but also have your own flare and be able to hold your own so you don't get stepped on. It's pretty competitive, but if you have confidence original in appearance and personality, and somewhat good looking, you will have a good shot. Even if your looks aren't fantastic, though they must be good, the rest of your personality will make up for it. Hope this helps!
You have to be photogenic of course and confident and yes the agency that hires you is going to want to hire someone they find original looking but attractive also.
