Some sentences in the magazine confuse me so much!who can give me a favor?!
Question: I read a magazine today,one of the articles titled "50 fantastic reasons to be happy" confuse me.
some reasons don't make sense to me.
here are some:1.Girl Scout
2.har scrunchies
3.getting your braces off(what does "braces off"mean?)
4.talking to friends on IM
5.curling up with a good book and ice cream("curl up"what does it mean?)

Are you sure #1 isn't Girl Scout Cookies? They're delicious and might be a reason to be happy.
#2 Hair scrunchies are little elastic and fabric things that girls hold their hair back with. They're usually brightly colored and fun.
#3 Braces are metal pieces that are put on peoples teeth to straighten them. They're uncomfortable and painful so having them taken off of your teeth is a happy day.
#4 IM=Instant Message Sort of like email but quicker or instant
#5 Curling up is being somewhere comfortable, warm, and quiet - you usually sit with your legs curled underneath you, maybe a blanket over your lap, relaxed and with your favorite book.

you wear braces for like 2 years right? so when u take your braces OFF you are happy cuz your teeth are straight

Curling up means to sit and do something really comforting (LOL)
Hair scrunchies are poofy ponytail holders that were popular in the 80s and 90s
Girl Scouts groups of girls who do things together like do an event
IM means Instant Messaging on your cell phone or computer
And braces are metal things that are on your teeth sometimes to straighten them
The only reason why Im answering this is cuz when I was 6 I felt really bad because I didnt know what a Gameboy was bc. I had just moved from Asia.
3, "braces" are the wire-tensioners on crooked teeth to make them straightened out and pretty
5: "curl up" refers to body-posture while reading in bed ...usually laying on your side with head on pillow and legs bent up in a fetal position "comfortable"

1. Maybe it means joining the girls scout or getting something from them.
2. I did'nt realy understand "har scrunchies", but i geuss something about food.
3. It means that if u have braces (metal dentists put it in your teeth to straten them) you must take your braces off to feel happy.
4. It means chatting with friends in messenger (E-mail)
5. The phrase means you sit down with a book and an ice cream.
