blink 182-90's
such a long list of songs, and such a variety of 'themes'. great lyrics!

Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers!

Ah all the best cross eras and stuff so I just put down when I think there best periods were or when they started, see I don't even know how to explain how I done it lol anyways here's some suggestions

60's- The Who- they are Gods!
70's- Neil Young and Crazy Horse -talent
80's- Bruce Springsteen and E Street Band- talent
90's- Dixie Chicks -again catchy and country good combo
00's- Fallout Boy catchy (sorry lmao)

the doors
pink Floyd
led zeppelin
metallica
nirvana
red hot Chile peppers
cos they rock

60s; the kinks, though, its rather "from the 60s" rather than "through the 60s" because i wasnt born till '88 and the kinks were from '63

70s- bowie, patti smith, lou reed's stuff

80s- new order, bon jovi, def leppard, aerosmith

90s: pearl jam, ugly kid joe, whitney houston, bonnie tyler, rem, nirvana (if youre thinking, "weird kid, just over 3 years old and likes grunge and alternative music" well, that was my sister's influence, i loved and looked up to her alot and if just sit outsite her door listneing to her music and begging to borrow her boombox and cassette tapes. we also used to watch countdown, fraiser, cheers and whose line is it anyway. i was a good kid though, to me it was just funny voices and catchy songs)

60's
The Ventures all instrumentals, kickin' guitars
lots and lots of albums to pick from

Janis Joplin heavy psychadelic electric rock/blues
cool singing voice

70's
Boston excellent electric guitars (the 2nd and 3rd
albums sound like the first so you don't really need
them

Journey one of the first arena bands great sound

ACDC with Bon Scott sounds different from later
ACDC more interesting, better rhythms

Blackfoot southern hard rock, the song "Train, Train"
is excellent, also "Highway Song"

Deep Purple drug/psychedelic rock/metal you do not
have to be high to understand or enjoy it. "Smoke on
the water" was THE signature song of the hard rock/
metal/heavy metal genre of music for over 30 years.

80's
Dire Straits nice songs and good guitar music

Van Halen (first four albums w/ David Lee Roth) this is
the music that saved the world from Disco!

Judas Priest - THE creators of Heavy Metal (yeah,
yeah I know about Black Sabbath, but JP was the first
band to combine Sabath's style of lyrics with killer
guitars and drums, and Halford was a better singer
than Ozzy).

Any group with Ronnie James Dio in it (Sabbath in the
early 80's, Rainbow, Dio). He's a classically trained
singer who just happens to sing Heavy Metal songs -
and his first band was on the air (radio) when he was
only 13! And he's still singing in Dio and Heaven and
Hell (on tour last month).

Iron Maiden Classic old style heavy metal, with really
refined guitars and a great singing voice.

90's

To be honest I didn't care for the 90's much, but I do
own and like :
Guns n' Roses grunge rock great guitars
Evanescence wacked songs gut fantastic voice
Smithereens catchy songs

The Beatles. Because their music is timeless. Here are a couple of song suggestions:
here comes the sun
you've got to hide your love away
Happiness is a warm gun
rocky racoon
fool on the hill
In my life
a day in the life
across the universe
come together
eleanor rigby
let it be
the long and winding road
revolution

Hope this helps!
Also everything from John Lennon is AMAZING!!!

i am only going to mention one band who have gone through all those decades, even now still performing
LADIES AND GENTLEMEN THE ONE AND ONLY

"THE ROLLING STONES"
saw them at sheffield the bigger bang tour 2006 they were brillwham fabbie oozo!!!!!!!!!!
