it cut you off but if your trying to give them away i would call the local girls club - or the local salvation army they will take them for free.
it's wonderful that you are looking for ways to recycle your magazines.
Unfortunately, libraries can't take in every previously read publication. Evaluating their condition and then processing them is a major administrative hindrance, especially if they don't already have a record for it in their system.
How many magazines are you talking about? 3 or 4? or 50?
Are their any after school programs around? youth centers, church groups?
It's really hard to recycle these kinds of things these days. We are just creating and consuming way more than anyone
knows what know what to do with. And then we end up looking for someone to clean up. It's a vicious cycle.
