Question: See, I would like to launch my own magazine but I don't know how to start and what kind of topics should I include. I really want to publish a sport magazine but what should I write about? Should I write only about 1 topic or write about few topics in my magazine?

Always write about what you have a vast knowledge on for example you have expert knowlege of football, but you want to launch a sports magazine a lot of what you would discuss would be centred arond that topic also it won't just be a financial gain but a passion, however you can always get other people to contribute in other areas of sports for your magazine, find your usp (unique selling point ) provide info and a service no one else has, find a gap in the market, if your package is good then to get sponsors would not be a problem, they will pay for adverts if your ideas are good and financially viable. Decide if you want it to be a weekly, bi-monthly, quarterly magazine, age group, who you want to target, remember who are your readers, these are the questions your sponsors will be asking , for eg if your age group was age 10 - 21, then you would target sport wear companies to sponsor, telecommunications, etc..., as for publishing check the net there are loads of printers who are linked to publishers that print and distribute magazines, but i think your greatest hurdle would be convincing your sponsors you are able to sell them your idea that they can promote their product and service througth your magazine and that there is a wide readership of your magazine.
alot of topics definatley people like a virety of things,thats why they read magz,if not theyll get a book
ill say look into blogsites and things,get ideas from that or see how they run,its almost equivallent to a magazine
