Teen Vogue, Seventeen, Cosmogirl, Allure?!
Question: I want to be an editor when I graduate and hope to move to New York State. I was just wondering which magazine(Seventeen, Allure, Cosmogirl, Or Teen Vogue) is better article wise and which ones have offices in new york state. Also, if you could tell me which ones are easier and harder to get into that would be a huge help. Thanks so much everyone!!

it pretty much says It's all about getting an internship! You can get a summer internship or an after-school internship during the school year (if you live near the place you want to work). If you're still in high school, go for one at a local newspaper or magazine.for one at a local newspaper or magazine so you can gain job experience without too much hassle. They would like to have you intern over a summer so that means you will be living on your own for a summer to intern.some magazines have programs for high school students but most have only intern programs for college students only that way they don't pay the college students and the magazine can help the college student earn only school credit. If you can afford to intern they you really should even if the magazine won't pay you but at least you will get work experience.
You will need to apply to college in New York city if you are in high school now and all major magazine are in new york city and if you live in new york city you will have in person interview on short notice,anyways new york city is intern central! lol so if you want this job then start to find a college in new york city! and im sure it will be worth the hard work so study ! and you will love your job and be so happy!!!
I love all the magazines you mentioned but I like Allure the best! allure is my fav b/c Im into beauty and health more. I think cosmo girl or teen vogue will be easier to get a intern at but thats just my guess? all those magazines have offices in new york city so you should plan for sure to live there.
