What does it mean when a magazine is running a supplement for a particular month!

Answers: does this mean it is advrtising and their is no editorial features?
A supplement is usually extra editorial just for one issue (per year) based on a theme - like real estate for example. It usually contains advertising as well. The ad/edit ratio has to stay in keeping with the limits on the magazine for postal purposes. So, a supplement would contain editorial content.
I think it means that they are publishing another different issue.
