Why does almost every watch advertisement show the time of 10.10?
If you've ever noticed any watch advertisement, the manual watches are always set to around 10.10. Is it a kind of superstition or mutually agreed advertising gimmick?

I'm not sure, but my initial guess would be to show you most of the parts of the digits being lit and functioning. A better time for that, though, would be a something like military time of: 18:58. The digit 8 has all possible parts of a number lit.
