How to put a shirt on that show's you'r belly?

i know this sounds stupid but how do you get a shirt that show's you'r belly? not like a belly dancer shirt but just what all the other teens wear it..

and without knotting it up or anything

well, whenever i put on a short shirt it just looks like i saved the shirt from when i was 10 even tho it isn't childish, and it's plain. it just plain looks too short.
