When magazines publish 'fashion-dont's', and they put the black bar over the eye!

Question:

When magazines publish 'fashion-dont's', and they put the black bar over the eyes, why do they do that?

I mean, u can still tell who the person is even with that covering their eyes? why don't they just blot out their whole face?

Answers:

To avoid lawsuits. Nobody want's to be known as a fashion "don't", and some will sue for slander, or harassment, or even pain and suffering. I figure if you are in the public eye, and that is your career choice, you will be judged. Your fans make and break you, and if you go out in something that may be questionable or strange, you better be prepared. I love it when celebs say "I just want to be left alone" no they don't otherwise they would be working in a cubicle. They chose that job and they have to take the good with the bad.

I can tell you from personal experience, I have never gone on stage wearing or doing something I was not comfortable with, regardless. I have walked off many a stage when I refused to wear a particular costume, or perform a particular piece of music or bit of a scene. I was not about to degrade myself, or set a bad example to my younger counterparts.

I live by this, and have yet to get a bad review.
