What is the resolution used to print magazines?!

Question:

What is the resolution used to print magazines?

being designed in photoshop.. need to know what resolution is generally used in order to print mainstream magazines

Answers:

300 dotes per square inch. Commercial printing does not work the same as home photos. They print them in a 4 color process. Use a magnifying glass and look at a picture. You see what's called a Rosette pattern. 4 colors layered on each other. News papers use 85 dotes per square inch. The pictures are called Half Tones. The original picture is scanned and separated into the 4 colors just like a home photo but that's where the similarities end.
