Answers:

I had a friend who collected stamps for about 15 years, since he was 8 years old or something.

He would spend hours and hours every week sorting them, and he would spend all his spare cash buying more.

He used to say how valuable they were and took so much pride in the collection, which I'm sure was very well organized and impressive.

One day he needed money and decided he'd collect on his long time investment in stamps. It turns out nobody cared and he got less than a tenth of what he assumed they were worth.

I told you that long story because it applies to everything. One man's treasure is another man's junk (and possibly vice versa, but not as likely). Your magazine is worth zero unless you can find a fool you thinks it's an investment, for some reason. The value is completely in your head. It applies to baseball cards, old coins, hat pins, anything from the Franklin Mint, comic books, vinyl records (that are now on CD; otherwise there is value in the contents, if you like it), original coca cola bottles, model cars, and so on.

I've come to realize that negative posts are never the ones that are chosen as best, mostly because people want to hear an answer that they can benefit from, rather than learn from. But I took this time to hopefully set you straight before you end up an old pack rat with a basement full of junk that scares children away.

Also, I've been drinking. Best of luck to you, sir.
