What is the best way to get address labels off of magazines?!

What is the best way to get address labels off of magazines?

I have a Rolling Stone from 1991 that I just got and it has the paper-glued-on type address label on it. I want to take it off, but don't want to mess up the cover by tearing it off, and don't want to steam it off cuz it'll wrinkle the cover. HELP!

I've tried the blow drier and it did'nt work. All that did was make it really warm.

oh, it annoys me cuz I collect music memorabilia and I don't like it there.
