a magazine however is a bit more complicated. its not that easy to give you step by step instructions. there are several components to a magazine: cover, table of contents, editorials, departments and features. flip through some of you favorite magazines and pay close atention on how they are laid out. collect all of the articles etc...and images then you can use a program like inDesign, quark, applepages, or microsoft publisher to create the layout and put it all together.
emulate the layout of your favorite magazine to start off with. I've been working on a magazine myself for he better part of 8 months and that's with an editorial class under my belt.
