A favorite author of mine is Laurie Notaro. She has very very very funny books filled with short stories from her life. Last year I judged a forensics tournament and was thrilled that one of the students i judged did a Laurie Notaro story called "Revenge of the Bra Girl" . And it was FANTASTIC! Check out "The Idiot Girls Action- Adventure Club" by Laurie Notaro. It maybe a little adult depending on how old and how mature your teenager is. nothing horribly offensive but its not beanie babies and coloring books.
