GCSE MEDIA EXAM preparation?!

Question:

GCSE MEDIA EXAM preparation?

I am preparing for my GCSE Media exam, I have to produce my own music magazine, then explain every incy wincy detail of why I have decided to include something in it.

My target audience is aged 16-20, this is because the majority would of decided what type of music they like. I have decided to use EMO as a genre. Do you think I should have more than one Target Audience for my Music Magazine? If so why? Any other tips for designing or anything would be much appreciated Thanks.

Answers:

i'm doing that this yr aswell. you have to really think about the cords and conventions of the magazine. limit it to one audience, you don't wanna overcomplecate. you only have 45 mins for that 2nd question. age, gender, interests, the way the audience would consume music has to be very detailed. to help you with that, you can find the profile of the typical NME reader. it's an official document- our school gave it to us, i don't whether u can find it on the net. always talk about representation in Q2.
you might wanna check this out too:

for Q1, don't forget to talk about how music has changed youth culture and talk about uses and gratifications. thought i'd tell u that. don't forget to use key words. good luck with it!
