Do you need articles from a specific magazine? If so, open the current issue of the magazine, call the phone number listed in the masthead (that's the part of the magazine where they list the editor, photographers, writers, advertising sales rep, etc). and ask for back issues. Maybe you can buy the magazine you need. It will cost more than a new copy and the older it is, the more it will cost.
Otherwise go to the library and ask if they have microfilmed the magazine you need.
