People is good if you are older, about 25 and up and you absolutely love celebrity gossip.

It really depends what you're into.

FASHION:
I say the best is Vogue and Teen Vogue, if you're younger. It has a lot of advertisements in the beginning, but it definitely gives you ideas on pictures and fashion do's. Teen Vogue analyzes movies and music along with a lot of fashion and style pages, also some DYI's. (http://www.style.com/vogue/) (http://www.teenvogue.com/)

I also like Nylon Magazine because it's not like any of the others, it's not sold in like WalMart or anything, you have to go to a special newstand or get a subscription. It's got music and fashion and all that jazz. (http://www.nylonmag.com/)

Seventeen is cool, it's got fashion and style stuff. But, it has a lot about celebs and celeb fashion. Also, it's got "embarrassing moments" and questions answered by ordinary people. (http://www.seventeen.com/)

Elle is for fashion and music and it shows some beauty also. It shows different and make-ups that they liked. Also, it often shows that celebs and famous people that are considered 'it' girls or just fashion gu-rus wore to special events, and sometimes shows you how you can do the same thing. BEAUTY:

Well, I don't know what else to tell you, I think you should go to a Books-A-Million or a Barnes and Noble and check out the magazine section and figure out which kind of "subject" you would like to read about and they should be labeled in sections, so check that out and then look at that section and read a couple of them (or flip through them and look at the pictures!) so that you have a better idea what every one is like.
