In 1983, the renowned designer KARL LAGERFELD took over the house of CHANEL and till date he has rebuilt it as the premier haute couture house in Paris.
CLAUDE MONTANA was the designer most credited with the "wide shoulder" look of the eighties. His collections of the 80's put this look most in perspective.
Other fashion designers whose collections in the 80's were most important were:

do we really want to reclaim the 80's? aren't they best left where they belong? In the past. to some degree they were cool but a lot of it was crap, I grew up in it so I know, and like Ive said before, I d still wear parachute pants.
