I cancelled my subscriptions to Maxim and Stuff (these were freebie add-ons when I bought subscriptions to ESPN and Men's Journal at eBay).
The August edition of Stuff magazine features Katherine McPhee ("mcgorgeous") on the cover and the August edition of Maxim features Hillary Duff ("Teen Queen to Breakout Sex Symbol").
Huh?
I wouldn't be surprised to see Valerie Bertinelli on the September cover if they could sell ad space to Weight Watchers.
Anyone else notice these publications are shills ever since the owner announced his intention to sell them (Maxim, Stuff and Blender) last February?

Maxim and Stuff are basically gear guides. They've always been about selling products, starting from the very first issues. If you want good writing and editorial content in a Men's magazine, buy Esquire, GQ, Men's Vogue, Men's Health Best Life, or even Playboy. You'll see the difference.
