The man goes back inside
Then walks upstairs
Turns on the light
And shoots himself in the head

remembering what'd happened the night before out on the boat the man couldn't take it anymore!.

Mj T's theory makes a bit of sense!. To add on in more detail, he forgot to turn on the lighthouse light the night before and those people died!. Feeling guilty, he committed suicide!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
